World-famous drummer Carlinhos Pandeiro de Ouro is teaching percussion downtown this summer. Three nights a week, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

And now, we've added samba dance instruction!

Samba for beginners at 7PM.
Serious samba (intermediate level) at 8:30PM.

The bateria is taking great shape and we're offering classes through Sept 5, with a big performance planned for Saturday, September 5.

It's all free.

We're inviting the best players from around LA to make a fantastic batucada. This is a great opportunity to meet new sambistas from around town and sharpen your playing and dancing.

It's downtown, where the 101 meets the 110. Closest large intersection is W Temple and N Beaudry. There's street parking on Colton, and the entrance is on Colton. We rehearse in the dance studio next to the gym (people can direct you).
